A small & friendly bowls club

 

Located just 5 minutes from the town, Leyburn bowling club was founded in 1920.  The club is managed and run by it's members.  It's a pleasant place to spend time.

​

If the gate is open please come in and have a look around, have a go or just watch. Members will be happy to assist and answer any questions you may have.  It is a very pleasant place to spend a sunny afternoon.  The best times to visit are Monday and Thursday afternoons between the hours of 1:30 and 5:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday as there will usually be members practising their game or please contact us.  FIRST 3 SESSIONS ARE FREE, Free Coaching also Available.  Five Reasons to have a go!

Once you become a member you get your own key so you can come and go as you wish,  you can also ask to join the WhatsApp group.

The bowls season runs from April until the end of September, conditions permitting.

Facilities
​

In the clubhouse there is a kitchen area, tables and chairs as well as toilet facilities.

​

After match food and drinks are often provided in the clubhouse, giving you another opportunity to socialise if you wish.

​

There are storage facilities for your equipment where you can sit down and change into your bowling shoes.  There is also an indoor space provided for visiting teams.
